Cess has 37 years of experience working in industry, primarily in manufacturing and design engineering functions in the electro/mechanical motion control, machine tool, rapid prototyping, tool-making and injection moulding industries.

Whilst working within these industries, Cess has been involved in the implementation and ongoing management of organisation’s Quality Management Systems including BS 5750, Investors in People, ISO 9001and TS16949.

His last major achievement was to attain “Level B, Approved Supplier Status” to Bentley Motor Cars Ltd. To achieve this approval the supplier must demonstrate that their QMS meets the requirements of the “VW Formel Q” system for which certification to ISO 9001 and the Automotive Industry Standard, TS16949 is an absolute minimum.

Cess is a qualified lead auditor for:

• ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems
• ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems
• OHSAS 18001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems

Working primarily within Durham and Tees Valley, Cess has successfully implemented Quality, Environmental and OH & S Management systems into various businesses including a Accountancy / Business Advisory Service, a Double Glazing Manufacturer and Installer as well as several Construction Companies, including Structural and Civil Engineering.

Cess has recently completed the implementation of an ISOActiv Quality Management System for Europe’s largest manufacturer of mould equipment to the Glass Container industry. The company has several manufacturing facilities worldwide including mainland Europe and the USA.
